The Haunted Car

I've decided my husband's car is haunted. :) It all began when the windows would roll down all by themselves at odd times when no one was in the car. And then this morning, the emergency brake was locked in place--with the handle moving loosely (no tension, as if the cable was unattached). But once the tow truck got here, the handle worked! And this was after the battery died just over a week ago.

I guess we don't have the best of luck. LOL

Once we got a new smart junction box put in, the windows quit the auto-roll down trick (thank goodness! We've had a really wet winter!). And we now have a nice new battery. I'll be really interested to see if they can find something wrong with the emergency brake. I guess we'll know something tomorrow. In the meantime, we're lucky our son is out of town and we have his truck available. And speaking of my son. He's on a mission trip in New Orleans this week. They're doing post-Katrina construction. I'd appreciate prayers for the mission team!

That's SO creepy, Missy!! I'm glad you guys got it figured out though...

Okay, keeping him in mind. I think it's really great that they're going to help : )

That is spooky! We were donated a van at the ministry I work for.... and it would crank by it self. No key or anything. One day one of the boys house parents went out to crank it and it was already running...he came back in and thanked his wife for getting the car warm and she was puzzled...she did not start the car either! It did it a few more times before we were able to get rid of it :)

Hope you are doing well Missy! Happy New Year!

You ARE getting rid of that car, aren't you? ;-)

Missy Tippens said...

LOL, Pepper! Never! Not until it won't go anymore. We run cars into the ground before we get rid of them--haunted or not. :)

Actually, we finally got it back today. The rear cables were broken and boots too (whatever that means). So it's all fixed now. If anything else happens, though...

Hi Missy:

I think this honor just confirms the validity of all the great reviews you’ve been getting.

Now, if they only had an award for the best Christmas book, “A Forever Christmas” would be right at the top of the list!
