March Madness!

Have you been watching college basketball the past week or two? (Or maybe someone in your household has been hogging the remote??) :)

My husband has had the games on as much as he can. And it's been nice background noise as I've worked on my revisions. Tonight, though, I actually watched! We watched the Duke game (his alma mater) and also the Western Kentucky game (my alma mater) whenever they switched over to that one. Oh, what a heartbreaking loss for WKU! And what a nail biter for Duke. Quite a stressful night.

Are you a fan? Who are you pulling for?

Hey Missy, Canada only has 2 pro basketball teams - the Toronto Raptors or Vancouver Grizzlies but we aren't watchers. We usually have to switch to the US stations to catch a game because our channels are flooded with hockey.

Our former pastor and his family came from Zambia and had never seen basketball until they moved up here to Canada. (Isn't it funny that we were sending missionaries to Zambia while they were sending their own missionaries to us!) Anyway, they embraced the game to such an extent that he (the pastor) lit up and glowed whenever he just thought about the game. He even snuck analogies using basketball into his sermon whenever he could. :)

Anita Mae, we actually watch more football in our household. My husband uses football analogies in sermons sometimes. He's a huge Atlanta Falcons fan (we've had season tickets for 20+ years). :)
